Dear Medicine Worker,
Join me on Monday, May 4th in Downingtown for the next medicinal plant walk of the season. This is going to be a really easy walk… no hiking, or hills. We will just be making a big circle in the field around the parking lot. There are so many medicinal plants here to talk about and you probably have some of them growing very close to you right now!
This plant walk is sponsored by Wholistic Therapeutics Co. in Downingtown, where I see clients for herbal consultations on Mondays.
We will meet at 10 am by the monument at Kardon Park (Google maps says it is Kardon Park, but the sign as you drive in says “The Ponds”). Bring a camera to photograph the plants and a notebook. I expect we will be there for about an hour, but it may last longer depending on how many folks show up and how many questions come up.
These plant walks are free and open to the public.

Visit the event page for updates about this walk and to let me know if you plan to attend… https://www.facebook.com/events/1582148973617497/?active_tab=discussion
I’ve also been working on restocking the Nettlejuice Shop. You can now find sleep formulas, bitters, anxiety formulas, and more. As always, if you are local and want to save on shipping by picking your order up here at my home, please send your order to me directly rather than going through Etsy.
On a final note, there is still time to join my Folk Herbalism course! The May class will be posted next week, and materia medica videos, as well as our live Q&A session will be later in the month. See more info here.
In good medicine,
April
Over on Patreon…

Patreon is where I share regular posts about plant medicine. Whether you are new to working with healing plants or an experienced herbalist, I invite you to join me in this space. You can join as a free member to check it out, or choose one of the 3 membership tiers. |
Subscribers can expect at least 3 posts a month talking about how I am using the plant medicine in my own practice. These posts can be about harvesting, processing, medicine-making, or formulating. Sometimes I write about broader topics related to herbalism, and occasionally I offer live and recorded classes. Take an Herbal Foundations course with me through Patreon! |
In 2026, I am hosting my foundational herbalism course, Folk Herbalism, through Patreon. When you subscribe to the Meadowsweet Tier, you are automatically enrolled in the course. We started monthly classes in March, and recordings of classes and Q&A sessions can be viewed anytime. As the monthly classes roll out, I introduce herbs that can be harvested and worked with at that time of year, along with medicine making techniques and other foundational topics.
